Last week, the Building Movement Project (BMP) hosted a 60-minute webinar featuring a presentation of our latest report-- Race to Lead: Women of Color in the Nonprofit Sector. This report takes an intersectional approach to analyzing BMP's data of over 4,000 staff in the nonprofit sector. The study reveals the systemic barriers women of color face as they ascend to leadership and the continued challenges once they get there. After a brief presentation of the findings, panelists Sandra Gasca-Gonzalez (Vice President, Center for Systems Innovation; Annie E. Casey Foundation) and Kelley Robinson (Executive Director, Planned Parenthood Action Fund) reacted to the report and discussed BMP's recommendations on how to make the sector more supportive of the leadership of women of color.
In case you missed the webinar, we’ve made it easy to watch a recording and download the slides.
