Philanthropy has a role in supporting Asian American groups. When @Aarti_Kohli started at @aaaj_alc 8 years ago, she was shocked at lack of infrastructure and decades of underinvestment in the entire AAPI movement space.

Sasha Wijeyeratne says its important to have the difficult & time-consuming conversations to bring folks with different lived experiences & ideologies into the fold: "Take time to struggle w/people over their experiences, way they see the world, & things that are deeply held."
